A Word About PPR

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit, insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners.

PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.

Some of Our Best Success Stories

All of these dogs featured here have found forever homes in Maine. Even though we feel all dogs that get adopted are success stories, there are a few dogs that have stood out from the rest of the pack. This is what rescue is all about.
